My favorite movie remakes

When I heard about the story of Lake house, I was so curious and excited to watch the movie. Just a week before the film was shown in theaters, my brother brought home stacks of VCDs. He immediately chose the blank case with a handwriting that says, "Il Mare". I asked what's the movie about. He just told me, it's a bit old Korean film. Yeah, I said, but what's the story? He said "just watch." Suddenly, it all became familiar to me. The plot of the movie was very much like that of Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves' Lake House (the one I've been dying to see). Yes, indeed. Lake House is just a remake of Il Mare. So, when I was able to catch Lake House on DVD, I wasn't that much thrilled anymore because I know what's going to happen. I loved both versions though. Both made me cry. And both made my heart pound.
This is one of the best movies I've seen. Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho is a part of Hollywood's history. The original version stars Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins. While the remake stars Anne Heche and Vince Vaughn. You can't really tell the difference between these two phenomenal films. Same camera shots and angles, same eerie sound, same magnificent cinematography, same level of performance from the actors. The only difference is that the original version was rendered in black and white film.

A classic 1957 film starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. Empire State Building became more popular than ever because of this movie. Where they agreed to meet up. Unfortunately, Terry (the woman) got into a serious accident and was incapacitated for months.
In 1994, Anette Benning and Warren Beatty starred in the remake of this film. This time, it's called Love Affair. I think this version is more romantic than the original one.
